Adoption Profile

An Adoption Profile is for parents wishing to adopt a baby, for which there is a unique process that can help in the effort.  In The Complete Adoption Book by Laura Beauvais-Godwin and Raymond Godwin, it points out that "an attorney and many agencies will ask you to provide a portfolio so that birth mothers can 'see' you and possibly select you. 

A portfolio (or ‘Adoption Profile’) is a picture story of your life as a couple or as a family with children.  It is like a scrapbook or picture album containing pictures of you, any children, close relatives and friends, pets, your home, important occasions and favorite activities.  Its purpose is to simply tell your 'story' to a birth mother."
