This award-winning artist and caricaturist has captured the likeness and personalities of folks from all walks of life.  From family and friends to business colleagues and industry leaders.  From sports heroes to Hollywood stars.

Joel’s caricatures may be found in the offices and homes of such notables as actor-comedian Kevin Pollack; entertainer Barry Manilow; former NFL head coach Dom Capers; NFL referee Red Cashion; advertising executive (“AFLAC Duck” commercials) Linda Kaplan Thaler; Charlotte property developer Johnny Harris; Charlotte media personalities Moira Quinn, Al Conklin, Don Russell, James K. Flynn; and the late McDonald’s CEO Ray Kroc.  George Clooney is a more recent subject and recipient, since Joel appeared as an extra in Clooney’s Charlotte-shot football flick, “Leatherheads.”

Joel is an alumnus of the acclaimed High School of Music and Art in New York City ("sister" school to the one that inspired the movie "Fame"), and studied later at the nationally renowned Art Students League in New York.  Additionally, Joel has a B.S. in Journalism from Southern Illinois University; his verbal and creative skills are parlayed through his role as principal of his own marketing and advertising firm, JDK Marketing Communications Management. www.jdkmarketing.biz
